Acolytes - 34C.
34C if you fast forward to the last half hour and just watch that. If you try to get through this whole movie it’s an A all the way. You can get the story from Netflix and then you’re caught up. Or I can just give it to you now.
Let me start by saying that I turned this off after 5 minutes because the three main teenagers were so unbearable I had to. I figured I should give it a chance though so I fast forwarded a bit and it seemed to get cool so I tried again. At a half hour in I turned it off again and found a review. It said the first half of the movie is ruined by these kids but the second half is good. So I put it back on.
Eh. The first hour is ruined by these kids. Start watching it an hour in.
The story. Three annoying teenagers(2 boys and 1 girl) find a dead body. Coincidentally around this same time someone that did some bad things to the boys just got out of prison. But maybe it was just a coincidence because they figure out who did it and try to blackmail him into taking care of the bad guy from their past.
There are some twists and turns and Joel Edgerton (Warrior) is fantastic as a creepy killer type.
In reality this is a terrible movie with a sweet ending.

The Thing - 34C.
A Prequel of a Remake Of a Movie based on a Story.
The story is Who Goes There?
The movie is The Thing From Another World.
The remake is called The Thing. John Carpenter used to make great movies.
And then you have the prequel. I don’t remember much about the 80’s version but I feel this had a lot of similarities. But I guess both movies dealt with the same thing so that’s to be expected.
A group of people. Some snow station. Antarctica. An alien that can take the shape of humans. It was pretty sweet. When people start splitting open and turning into aliens shit gets creepy.
If this movie taught me anything it’s that Ramona Flowers was sexually appealing simply because of her multicolored wigs.

Warrior - 34DD.
Tom Hardy was a monster in this. If he plays Bane anything like this Batman is going to get buttfucked. Hard.
You know right from the beginning that it’s about a family with problems. Nick Nolte (who was incredible) was a drunk, so his sons leave with their mother. Along the way the sons split up. One (Hardy) stays with the mom and eventually joins the Marines. The other (Edgerton) goes off with his woman and gets married and has kids. They both hate the dad. Hardy hates Edgerton because he feels he abandoned him and his mother.
They both end up fighting in a big fight with a huge cash prize. Each is fighting for their own reason.
My concern was the end. Just by watching the trailer you know exactly what it’s leading up to but you don’t know what will happen. I loved it. It worked. It was great.
This movie was fantastic. It reminded me of The Fighter in some ways. Both were obviously about fighting. Both had two brothers as the central characters. Both had underdogs. Both made me want to stand up and cheer at times.
I may have cried during this movie. A bunch of times. A lot.
